Mission

It is the mission of For Pete's Sake to enrich the young lives of our students with confidence, self-esteem, knowledge, and organized daily activities by consistently offering predictable, yet flexible routines. Our intention is to always be open and welcoming, to the various cultures and family structures that pass through our doors.

Philosophy

It is our philosophy to offer a caring, stress-free environment, with positive reinforcement.  We take into consideration the whole child, their physical, social, emotional and intellectual development. Our team of educators provides activities that enhance your child's development in these key areas. We strive to establish and maintain a safe and healthy learning environment. We make every effort to establish positive and productive partnerships with parents and ensure that we run a purposeful program that is responsive to the needs of our students.

History

History

For Pete's Sake Preschool opened its doors to its first young learners in 1983.  At that time our name was St. Theresa's Day Nursery, and we were affiliated with St. Theresa's Church. While pastor of St. Theresa's, Father Edmond "Pete" Levesque was instrumental in establishing our early childhood center, along with Maureen "Honey" Weldon.   In 1990, our name changed to For Pete's Sake to honor Fr."Pete."  At that time Maureen Weldon and Maureen Gambardella joined in a partnership of the center. We are not affiliated with any religious denomination but continue to lease the school building from the parish. Maureen "Honey" Weldon passed away in 1999, and Monsignor Edmond "Pete" Levesque passed away in 2011.  Both will always remain a strong presence of For Pete's Sake.
